Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is submitted to the third-party provider that supplies the result experience. Our own servers do not retain a copy of those search entries. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them only to respond or address the issue raised.
Automatically Collected Data
Like most hosted sites, our service records routine log data such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of access. We use aggregated information to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or related technologies may support basic analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
We use the limited information described here to operate and repair the site, measure traffic, and improve its content. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Sites and Search Tools
Links may lead to Worcester municipal portals, Massachusetts offices, Registry of Deeds systems, libraries, archives, and third-party search tools. The privacy terms of the destination, rather than this policy, apply to information you submit there. Sponsored results are also furnished by a third-party provider.
Who May Process Data
Providers that host or support the site process log information on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure or when otherwise necessary to protect the service.
Safeguards and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above reasonably require. There are no site accounts, passwords, or visitor profiles maintained here.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us so that we can remove it.
Your Information Choices
You may ask about personal data we hold by using the Contact page. Because our collection is limited, we can generally review the contact mailbox and relevant logs, then remove information when appropriate. Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66 §10, governs defined records held by public custodians, not data held by this private reference. We do not claim a Massachusetts consumer-privacy statute that the research did not identify.
Public-record restrictions remain with their custodians. M.G.L. c.51 §§47C, 55, 57, and 64 restrict central-registry voter information; M.G.L. c.46 and Registry of Vital Records guidance govern vital-record access; and the Massachusetts Address Confidentiality Program protects eligible participants through a substitute address and mail forwarding. A removal request for a government-held record must go to the appropriate custodian and cannot override a specific confidentiality rule, court rule, or safety program. This reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Policy Updates
We will post any revised policy on this page. Continued use after a revision signifies acceptance of the updated policy.
